My yorkie Presley died Saturday after a reaction to his final vaccination he was only 13wks old. I had only had him 5wks. For those five weeks he was happy and learning so much.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Precious little baby.
Despite the pain, please find the courage to report it to your vet, unless they already know. This will help the vax manufacturers to make vaccines safer.

Such heartbreaking news clarehilly,R.I.P.Presley.You will be devastated as you just don't expect to lose such a very young puppy in those circumstances.We lost a Border Collie pup aged 16 weeks and it really floored us.He too was such a friendly lovely natured pup.(it was something passed on to the pups from their mother). We had lost our previous dog aged 16.5 years,and were looking forward to our new addition enjoying a long life too. Just before I read your very sad post,I had put up a thread enquiring about booster vaccinations as I had heard of some dogs having serious reactions to some of them. Very important to make sure your vet reports this to the manufacturers so it is recorded. |
