Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help? We have three canaries - a yellow male, blue female and two year old offspring (yellow/blue colour) who we think is a male as he sings. What intrigues us is that 'Little Ted' as he is known, is obsessed with making nests and even sitting on them! To our knowledge, he has never mated with 'mum' but goes through the motions that an expectant father or mother might! He gets along ok with dad but can argue with mum. There have been times when we have doubted his gender, but we have been lead to believe that if a canary sings, it is a male.
Can anyone advise please?
Many thanks, Raine.

raine, welcome to the forum, I've no experience of canaries but hope someone may be able to help you.
