I sent a letter to Rachel as I hadn't seen her on the new forum & others I asked hadn't heard from her either. I gave her my email address & got this email today.
Can't believe its just a year since she lost Mo in such sad circumstances. Hopefully she will join us here.
Thank you very much for your lovely postcard, it was so nice to hear from you.
I wasn't aware that the old forum had closed down, mind you I haven't been on it for a while now. I knew there were problems with it being so slow at times, so maybe it's no surprise that they eventually merged the two forums.
I'm so busy at work I've never got a minute to myself anymore. Mind you the same could be said at home with the two hooligans!!
Ailsa and Iona are well and getting BIG, it's hard to believe but they'll both be a year old come 23rd May. Iona (mackerel) talks to the OH a lot, she doesn't meow it little squeaks (LOL) Ailsa is very tempermental, she can be all over you like a rash one minute and then bite you just as suddenly, and she rarely utters a sound.
I've had to replace curtains, curtain poles, lamps and other numerous items. We can't leave anything out, i.e. ornaments, shoes, handbags unless you want them all chewed or with the ornaments (broken). That also goes for the mail or any papers lying around. I've even had to pay a factoring bill with bite marks all over it, luckily they hadn't torn off any bits of the bill, as the factor refuses to send a replacement.
On a sadder note, it will be a year ago tomorrow (1st May) that we lost our beloved Mo. I can't believe a year has passed already!!!
I remember when she would kneeding me and lying on me wanting attention and if I stopped for any reason I would get a paw to my face telling me to continue. She so loved to be brushed, and would lie on my lap or chest and fall asleep. She was one in a million.
Ailsa and Iona don't like being brushed, so we have do it quickly when we do. We also trim their nails, brush their teeth all under duress from us humans and the cats.
Hopefully I'll have a look at the forum, and renew my details.
I don't know if anyone has been asking after me on the forum, but maybe you can let them know everything is ok but just soo busy these days.
I hope you and the OH are keeping well, and that the gang (cats) are well and behaving themselves too.
Best wishes,
Rachel
