Hi everyone,
I'm new to the boards and was hoping to chat with other Havana owners. We adopted a 2 year old Havana 5 months ago (I had 2 Siamese before and sadly lost them within 9 months of each other aged around 16) and he is fab. He's extremely playful, a little bit naughty and very affectionate (when he isn't playing) I do see a few similarities to the Siamese but he's also very different and because they were older, he is obviously much more energetic too, in fact, he rarely stops and would quite happily play all day - we get tired before he does!
Does anyone else have a Havana or know of one? They seem to be quite unusual and I'm struggling to find a forum where I can chat to other owners to find out more about the breed (I've done heaps of reading but that isn't the same as talking to people who actually live with one) and discover whether other Havana's have similar personalities. Would love to hear from you if you have any stories.
Thanks for reading :-)
PS - if anyone knows how I can upload a photo of him, that would be great, I tried and it didn't work.

Hi kp, welcome to the forum hope you enjoy it here, we're a friendly bunch . I'm Toni & have 4 rescue cats. If you've got any questions about the forum or cats don't hesitate to ask - nothing is deemed too silly, we all started out once One of the forum members ( daintipawz ) has a havana breeding queen who had her first litter about 8 weeks ago. there are some pictures posted by her on this forum. I'm sure she will be delighted to chat to you. I'll look forward to seeing some photos when you can upload them. There are 2 options:- - Using the add attachment button at the top of the post box - this will let you choose from those on your computer. Certain criteria apply such as max. size & a limit of 8 per post - it tells you in the pop up when you click add attachment.
To put them actually in the post you will need to click on the insert button & it will put them where the cursor is in the message - Using photobucket (and probably other such services) you will need the actual url of the photo on that service (given by the share on that service) and use the button that looks like a picture just above the box for typing your message in
A pop-up asking for the url will appear & you can insert the details from photobucket (or whatever)
Hope that helps. If its confusing please let us know, we're in the process of trying to get some help/tips together so need them tested
