Thanks Christine. It wasn't meant as a really serious suggestion but it might be possible for Roman or Osiris - they weigh in around 5.5Kg or it might be possible to attach it to the CatCam itself rather than the collar. It's nice to know how things actually fit/work.

Our latest addition, 3-4 year old Lexie, who we got Feb 2012 from a multi-cat household, (the same one Cumbria got Cody) has slightly upset the apple cart with our other 3. She is very good at pestering & chasing Roman (our 8 year old). Basically she pesters him until he moves & that is an invitation to her to chase him. He's really good with her in some wyas as he is our fighter but he doesn't do anything to her. things are improving after some assistance from a behaviourist but it always happens when we're not in the appropriate room. We're not sure now if she still pesters him or just when he decides to move. Its going to take time. To be honest that isn't the real reason we thought about a camera but it would possibly be a bonus Our cats have full access to the outdoors & Roman, in particular, is one that roams a reasonable distance - we've got a country park about 300 - 400 yards away so plenty of room to roam, plus its an estate of closes so also gardesn to visit etc.

Oh right. My folks have put the small nest camera that we bought them for crimbo (to put in bird houses) in the sun room so they can see what their cat is doing at night after they put him to bed. Buts that's only because the birds got in the nest box early this year before dad could fit it in there. So his spying on the cat instead.

Good idea Gladys Has he seen anything interesting? It could work for us except for the fact the cats have the full run of the house although Roman prefers our bedroom or the spare bedroom

I've dug my Loc8tor out and it's actually a Loc8tor Plus which has the widest range of them all which is 183 metres with a clear view. The problem is that my environment won't allow 360 degrees. I can stand at the front of the cottages or the back of the cottages but the only way to get from the front to the back is through the house which means it can only scan 180 degrees so if he is at the front and I am at the back it cannot pick up the signal through the row of cottages. The only clear view I have is down the lane so obviously I can see him if he is on the lane. Even indoors if he is the main bedroom and I am in the further bedroom it doesn't pick up the signal as the wall is about 2 foot thick. However, Leroy does keep sitting on the neighbours car so I've put the Loc8tor on him and I am going to train him (by reward) to come for the beep when I see him on the car so I won't have wasted the 100 quid.

All 3 of mine come when they are beeped. Alfie and Poppy straight away and Wilf after a fashionable pause. I give them Thrives as a reward, I followed the link on this website and got 20% discount on a hugh tube. I bought two to be over the limit for free delivery and they are lasting well.
