Most of you know me and Tilly, so I shall skip to Alfie Alfie is our new rescue puppy. He is (we think!) Whippet X JRT, though the rescue kennels thinks he's a Lurcher X Staffy. We took him to the vets today, which the vet thinks he's a Whippet X Staffy. He is around 8 months old and loves sitting on your lap, following you around and having many mad sessions! Since he came home late yesterday afternoon, his confidence has grown LOADS. Tilly has been fantastic with him. She accepted him straight away. The more his confidence is growing, the more playful he is becoming, so he keeps invading Tillys space, though she's giving him warnings and he will learn. She did forget herself earlier though, and played with him for a bit (wish I was there to see! ). We have the one agility jump in the garden, and we we threw the ball for him, bounded for it and kept on jumping the jump.. so I'm thinking possibly doing agility or flyball with him once he's old enough?! Anyways, here are some photos! bectil

Thanks everyone! He's settling in very well, and Tilly is great with him (can not get over how amazing she's being with him!) There are some problems we're needing to sort, like he gets very stressed when we're not in the house and that he's started nipping Tilly (she's now very wary when he gets excited), so advice greatly appreciated Once he has had all his injections, we'll be off to obedience classes and tomorrow I will start clicker training him and teaching him the basics. He learnt sit, wait and no very quickly. bectil

bectil He look lovely. In the 1st photo he does look to have classic PRT/JRT ear shape and face markings though a parsons is usually tan or black. Hope you have a lot of happy years with him.
