Hey, my name is Charlie, and I am new to this forum! I currently have two cats - a ginger and white moggy called Eva and a Maine Coon cross called Indie. We are currently moving house - any tips for how to make this less stressful for the cats? This is their first move (and mine!) Thanks and Best wishes all! x

Hi welcome to the forum Charlie.
We moved four years ago and we have two moggies and at the time a parsons russell called Jess. (we now have a PRT called Jasper) but anyway when we moved the smaller of the two cats was fine she is more of a house cat anyway, but the other one Flirty is definitely and outdoor cat and he was a bit more difficult. We tried to keep them indoors for at least a week so get used to his new environment and to learn that this is were he must come to for his food. I think we manage to keep him inside for about three-three and a half days before giving in to him as he was going stare crazy and started attacking Bandit the other cat. Thankfully in that short space of time he'd learnt that this is were he now lives and was ok.
If your cats are showing any signs of stress then you can get some feliway plugins which will help. I when you move into you new house they might decide to start scenting so you need to keep an eye, and nose out for this.
Hope this helps.

Just saying hi here!
I unfortunately can't help you as I don't own cats and haven't ever moved house! You'll only occasionally see me on this side of the forum - I'm more of a dog person! But welcome to the forum anyway!!
