Hi, my name's Anna and I'm nearly 14. My dog is Amber, a 2 year old Bernese. We also have a small crossbreed (cavalier x chihuahua) called Holly , who is 5 months old, she is my sister's dog. My family are puppy walkers for assistance dogs, our current puppy is Bramble, a Labrador X Newfoundland who is only 14 weeks old! I do most of the training with the puppies. Bramble is our 2nd puppy, our previous pup Skye has just moved into advanced training. Amber loves to learn new tricks, she knows lots now, such as roll over, give paw etc. Amber is adorable and just loves having her tummy rubbed! She can be cheeky at times! I'm really excited to have joined the new forum Here are a few photos of Amber, Holly and Bramble! P.S. Bramble is the puppy on the left, the other puppy is her sister, Bella!

Hi Anna. I LOVE Bernese dogs and if I had the space they would definitely be the breed I would go for next but I am sticking with small dogs for now (until I win the lottery and buy a huge house which I will fill with furry friends).

Being a puppy walker is such an honor, must be very rewarding and exciting. I think I would find it hard to give them up after the training, though I know that they are going on to do something fabulous for another person.
I love BMD too, but also don't have the space. I have to admit when it comes to the big dogs I am a fan of the Great Dane and the Irish Wolfhound!!
However I am a gundog lover at heart and I have plenty within that group I would like to own first!! lol

Hi Anna! Loving the pics of your dogs, Holly is gorgeous, I love young puppies when they look, for want of a better word, "awkward" and have still to grow into their features! Holly looks like she might blow away on a windy day. For Dotty it was her gangly legs and massive paws that she had to grow into. Amber and Bramble are lovely too

Hi everyone, and thanks for the welcome! Bernese Mountain dogs are a lovely breed and I feel so lucky to be able to own one of my own! Yes, I know what you mean with puppies, Holly's ears haven't quite decided what to do yet, whether to stand up like a Chihuahua or flop down like a Cavalier! Some days she'll wake up with one sticking up but the next day it's floppy again! Bramble has long legs and big paws that don't quite fit the rest of her body which will take her a while to grow in to!
