taking her in today at 10.30...registered with a new vet so hoping for answers. more tests...vet says her foot is swollen over the claw so going to look at that... she did suggest a few things but said it could be anything...a tumour was one of them also going to look at her nose..think they are going to do scrapings/bioposy on both.. not sure yet...got to drop her off at 10.30 and try to get a wee and poo sample tonight.....also asked if she had diarrhoea, going to look into her weight problem as well as another basic blood test. vet also thought she looked older than 8.She has gained a little weight though...but she hasn't done her wee/poo samples that I need...

Oooooh that foot looks sore Fingers crossed the new vet can come up with something for you both (((HUGS))) When I've had to get a sample in the past (FeLV+ Suzi in June 2013 being the most recent) the vets have given me a kit which is like small plastic balls (like a fine litter but non-absorbant) and a syringe to suck up the urine. Hope you can get your sample

vets have just phoned and it's not good news..... she has a small amount of blood and protein in her urine... and high blood count....and they had a feel of her stomach and found some thing unusual in her intestine.... not sure if it is tumour/ cancer or something else....she had biopsy on her nose and foot so got to take tablets for that... and have to wait for all the results to come back before deciding what to do next... she might have to have a major operation to see what's going on in her stomach.....

She's home, stitches on her nose... The blood cells could be either infection or leukaemia and the intestine could be a tumour..and the skin rash could be allergies... Got to wait for the tests to come back.... And then make a decision what to do next.. I just thinking the worse now, but she's full of life just now.

Poor Mary & you, Lynn. Glad Mary is full of life albeit probably feeling a bit sorry for herself with a stitched nose, however you can't help but worry so hope the results come through quickly and give the answers to what is wrong with her & hopefully a positive way forward.
Take care.

Poor kitty. Waiting for the results is the worst. The vet sounds capable, so the treatment she will advise is not experimental. Can Mary have swallowed a foreign body?

I'm so sorry to hear all this. You must be beside yourself. I agree with my Dutch friend this vet seems more on the ball. Sending you all light and love xxx

vet's visit went well... Mary was very well behaved..she sat on the scales to be weighed and stayed there for a few minutes...she's put on a little weight.. she looked really relaxed... her blood tests didn't show any thing, she definitely hasn't got leukaemia....just waiting for her other results to come through now... her nose and paw are healing nicely.. but it's not good news about her intestine..she has a mass in there... and may need a major operation to investigate further...just hope it's nothing serious..
