Ok so I am sitting here watching TV and theres this cat keeps walking back and forth past the window with a mouth full of what looks like moss, or similar to birds nest filling. Same route all the time, why would it be doing this !
Hope you don't think this a stupid question, but just curious of this behaviour.
Fortunately Beau has not seen it

Sorry scallywag can't help you with that. Have you see where it's taking the moss? My first thought was that it was pregnant and making itself a whelping bed ready to give birth. that's probably just me being silly though.

That was my thought too but it doesn't look fat. It comes past french doors to the wall at the side, walks along the wall and goes over a shed roof can't see more than that but has been going on for over an hour . Beau and I went out, cat was on its way back to get more, saw us and calmly laid down on the wall watching waiting for us to go in again LOL cazypops

Kleptomania? Some cats steal socks and many other things. No idea, really.

Haven't got a clue scallywag, are you sure it was just moss & not furry mouse, although going collecting mice for over an hour is a bit extreme! Lexie used to bring home bread/yorkshire pud etc. which a neighbour had put out on the ground fo the birds!!!

Ha ha my first thought when it went past clearly with a mouthful I thought bird. Defo moss as it dropped some on the way, must have made a dozen trips in the end

Would agree with the pregnancy/nesting idea, that was my first thought anyway.
