Hi Toni! I was on the old forum but as I am a dog lover, I went with my Your Dog username! My old username was 'Meows-Aslan-Snarfy' don't be bothered if you can't remember! . I have 2 dogs, one a 7 year old West Highland White Terrier called Charlie Boy and one a 7 year old Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel called Roman, 2 cats, both moggies, one rescue, one from a farm (the kittens weren't planned, its just they didn't have their cat spayed!). Snarfy is a 6 year old rescue moggy and Kitty-Aslan is a ginger moggy. I also have 4 ferrets called Lucy, Oxo, Polo and Snowy and 10 horses called Jasper, Ziggy, Marney, Echo, Henry, Maddie, Dali, Tango, Rosie and Casper Charlie Boy: 033 (2) by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr char (2) by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr Roman: 067 by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr Kitty-Aslan: 044 by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr 010 (2) by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr Snarfy: 009 (2) by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr 036 (2) by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr My Akitas, Inka and Nushka (unfortunately both passed away last year): Inka: 318861_502634113086302_732812238_n by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr 234_12097548524_3618_n by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr Nushka: 578802_516733861676327_240394491_n by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr 426794_502638756419171_1883518803_n by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr 557471_516724575010589_383314481_n by ArtrequiresCourage, on Flickr Sorry for the photo overload! Hi Toni, nice to see you on the new forum. It takes a bit of getting used to. I don't think people from the old cat forum are on here so much and some not at all. I didn't like it at first with the dog forum in the same place but as I also have 2 dogs I have enjoyed reading the threads and I am learning a lot of things I didn't know - such as, I was feeding one of my dogs a really bad quality dog food!!!! I have now changed it - perhaps that is what made him hyperactive? time will tell.

Hi! Wondered where you were! Glad you've joined us. I'm finding it wierd here on this forum. Although I like the mixing between dog n cats peeps I just don't find the layout as warm and inviting. I really miss not having smilys next to a topic title!
Hope you get to grips with it all soon. Give your kitties a squishy hug from me n Elsa! x x

Everytime I try to upload a photo within a reply, even though it is within the permitted size parametres, I get no joy at all, so I'm not overly in love with this version of the forum. I am trying to persist as I think it's a great way of reaching out to my fellow cat lovers and also to share our experiences and knowledge, which I've certainly already found very useful. Rachel.

Hi Rachel, apparently there have been some problems with the Proboards software that have prevented photos being uploaded from a computer when using Internet Explorer although will work if from photobucket or the like. The suppliers are aware of this & have been working on it this was a quote from them around 6 pm yesterday (Tuesday) Don't know if that was your problem but if it was hopefully it will be working later this week. I don't have anything to do with Proboards or this forum administration I can only report what I've seen on the support forums and can't guarantee anything.

Let's hope so. I wanted to post a photo of Tia, who was poisoned by anti freeze on my thread. It was my favourite one of her poking her head out of an old water butt.

thank you to everyone who's replied, its lovely to see some new faces, as well as some old ones
We adopted Millie from out local rescue when she was 5 years old (she was 8 on the 4th of April - the date we adopted her). She had been found injured by a supermarket. she was microchipped, but when they managed to get in touch with her owners they weren't interested. Their loss is our gain though, couldn't imagine being with her now .
We'd been thinking about getting another cat for a while, when Gareth's cousin found out her two female cats were pregnant )she was less than impressed when the vet told her - they had gone in to be spayed). she ended up with 9 kittens needing homes. Both litters have the same dad, a black and white tom, but the older litters mum was black and white, the younger litters mum was ginger. Gareth's sister had two kittens from the older litter, we had Axel from the younger. Its been interesting see my -s-I-l's 2 grow up, seeing what they have in common with axel and what is different. Pepsi is a similar build and temperament (although with much less attitude) where Cola is completely different.
Axel will be 2 on the 2nd of may (his actual birthday)
