Hi Everyone.
Haven't been around here for a while as every week since Easter one of my lot have been in the vets. So the latest is Sox my 8 year old tabby girl. She's been coughing then vomiting alot for the past few months. Initially I thought as it was shedding season it was furballs. I've tried different furball medicines to no avail. Last week I noticed she was coughing upto 3 times a day and still vomiting. She's started to loose weight with all the vomiting and I was not going to keep treating it as furballs as it clearly isn't. So the vet examined her and thinks the coughing and vomiting are two different things going on. He gave her some antibiotics (Synulox) and ant acids. She finished the ant acis last week. The vomiting has more or less stopped and the cough seems to be clearing. She does have a bit of diarrhoea which I think is the antibiotics as se didn't have that previously.
I had to film her having a coughing fit and the vet thinks it is possibly Asthma or bronchitis. She's going back for a checkup next week and if she still has the cough she's being transferred to the hospital overnight for x-ray, ultrasound and a biopsy.
So just wondering if anyone has any experience of a cat with Asthma as now I'm really worrying.
Help!

Nice to see you back here jezebel, even if it is because of a problem, that's one of the many things this forum is for Sorry you've been having regular vet visits, I can appreciate that as it seems to have been happening her for the last couple of months. Poor Sox, that won't have been pleasant for her. Hopefully the antibiotics are clearing up the coughing & she won't need further test/treatments & yes they can cause diarrhoea. Wish I could help with the idea of asthma but have had no experience of the that at all. Hope someone else can assist.

Oh it is really sad. Well I heard one time one of my neighbors cat faced same issue they used few good discount pet medication and solved the issue with in 7 months. You also must take few medicines for your cat and you will get the result in few days.
