My sweet special little Nethie man left me yesterday

He'd been having a few breathing troubles, on and off, and was right as rain this morning. He was going to the vet on Thursday but I think that combined with the heat was just too much for him

He was 6.

Well they say 8 - 10 years on average for a bunny. But Netherland Dwarfs are a bit like Pugs. They are so often badly bred, many don't make it to 6 let alone longer, so he didn't do too badly. They are bred to have as small a skull as possible for shows, the smaller the better really, and he was a show type bunny (rescued by me when he was 3). He was very small, my vet always said he was amazed how healthy he was.
