orpheous87 thats true better to check it out rather than leave it . Oh and thanks PF thought it might of been green tea. Yeah BT we normally do the same just get some tissue and wipe the yucky bit away but his eyes always seem to be like it because they are so big and wide so I'm going to try the tea instead x).

Yup gladys they are good for getting away all the yuckiness but he always gets his hair in his eyes aswell which I think makes them run more. Jademoo - Being a breed with large eyes the hair could be making his eyes worse, let me know how the green tea goes, I might try it after you. I have no previous experience of anything with him as he is only 17 weeks! If he gets hayfever, this will be the first time. I have noticed an increased amount of sneezing, phlegm and obviously eye gunk. His nose has been runnier too. Runny eyes and nose are a definitely a thing with smoochie face breeds and is nothing to worry about as long as the discharge is clear. You may find that his nose will run with temp change, especially from warm room to cold outside. And if Jademoo doesn't mind can I ask a question, is still slightly on topic. Cooper has a whisker that keeps going in his eye, which of course makes his eye run and also if it keeps doing it I'm worried that it will damage the eye somehow. Do you think I can cut the whisker? Or is that going to hurt and be cruel???

Earl also seems to enjoy his eyes being wiped with some cotton wool, damp with warm water

gladys I thought it might have something to do with that as eyes are very sensitive and sure I'll let you know how the tea goes . Also I don't mind gladys..I think that if the whisker is annoying Cooper by it irritating his eye then maybe cut it but not completely just short enough so it doesn't go in his eye..it shouldn't effect him as they grow back.

Thanks Jademoo I only would need cut a small amount and was planning to ask vet when I take Gerri Cat for yearly boosts next month. It just curls up somethings and goes right in his eye and that one does water more than the other. Bless him.

No problem . Good idea to see what the vet suggests about it..but cutting it short for now will help..I read that it doesn't really effect dogs that much if you cut them but it effects cats more because they need them for balance.
