Woody has runny eyes most of the time and we normally just use wipes to wipe it away from his eyes. I was wondering if anyone knew any alternatives to try and reduce eye runniness down his face? because I know they are prone to eye problems because their eyes are so wide open all the time!.

Cooper being a smoochie face boy is the same. I do the same as you and wipe his face a few times a day. I use fragrance free baby wipes on his face. I don't think I would feel happy about using anything else, eyes are so precious.

I've been wondering about this too as Pepper often has runny eyes . I wipe them, but it doesn't take long for them to run again I'm going to ask at the vets next time she's there I think, because I don't think it's normal for a Springer to have runny eyes?

That wouldn't surprise me, considering how itchy she can get. We're surrounded by them, lol. And we walked in a farmer's field on Sunday. But they run all the time. I'd not really thought about it until recently, but now that I do, I don't know if it's normal.

Thanks scallywag I'll try out the cold tea I think thats what I used on my guinea pig once when he had runny eyes . And yup gladys they are good for getting away all the yuckiness but he always gets his hair in his eyes aswell which I think makes them run more. She might have allergies @orpheous it's just that time of year..or maybe she has something in her eyes?

It is possible Jademoo, I agree. I'll have to ask about it at the vets, definitely.

She is fine for the most part, and her eyes look clear and everything, so I'm probably concerned about it for no reason! But it's better to be safe than sorry Haha, it's alright!

When Earl's eyes are a little runny I just wipe them gently with the end of a tissue. He is very good and sits still

I'm blaming Bernies runny eyes on the time of the year. Currently treating with Euphrasia herbal medicine which seems to be doing the job. In regards to the tea tip, I believe it is green tea you use

Does he get a type of hayfever PF? I have no previous experience of anything with him as he is only 17 weeks! If he gets hayfever, this will be the first time. I have noticed an increased amount of sneezing, phlegm and obviously eye gunk. His nose has been runnier too.
