Apologies for the long post - but I could use some advice! I found some Applaws food on sale at a low price, so bought a bag. Since having Tilly on Applaws (3 weeks) her energy levels doubled! It was great and she excelled in her agility classes. I had previously had her on 'light' food - but she lost weight (visibly) by being on the same amount of Applaws!! The Applaws then ran out, so I put her on Harringtons (awful stuff - don't buy it!) because it was the only thing I had to hand. Her energy levels dropped, and her poos stank. So I got another bag of Applaws (still on sale!) and am feeding her that for the moment. BUT I cannot afford to buy Applaws in the long term. I can't justify £50 a bag - I don't spend that much on myself! So, would you recommend I put her on a Working Dog food and feed less of it? She does intense exercise once a week, and quite high amounts of exercise for the rest of the week. If so, which one? Or, could you recommend a cheaper dog food that is good quality, with high protein levels? No cereals grains or cr*p like that please! Feeding raw is out of the question, as much as I would love to in an ideal world - but it isn't going to happen! Thank you in advance!

I would recommend Arden Grange Jess does very well on it.

Fishmongers (P@H brand I think?) looks pretty good. Grain free, reasonable meat content. Never been able to use it myself though (obviously, given my location!)

Monster pets still have decent deal on Applaws too (if you buy two bags)

Skinners, either Duck & Rice, Salmon and Rice or Turkey & Rice, all are between £22-32 for a 15kg, they are hypoallergenic, VAT free, and have similar ingredients to JWB without the price tag!

Arden Grange, Fishmongers, CSJ, Skinners, all supposed to be good food. I can't reccomend my own food, Symply, or my old, Burns, because it is high on rice and not on meat - I am in the process of looking for other dry food!

Most of the CJS food is full of grains, AG, has a fair amount too. BT, you can recommend whatever food you like. Rice is fine for most dogs, just because some of us do not use it does not mean that you have to go changing foods.

I am staying with Symply.
Bunrs and Symply have been good foods for Earl so far. Burns, puppy, Symply, adult small breed for him.
I would say them two then!!!
