Hi everyone! We are only just venturing into the fascinating world of RAW feeding and all it involves and it's very exciting and interesting so far. I have read in a few other posts about various forms of supplements some of you give if you RAW feed and although I have been doing some of my own research it helps to hear first hand from people who regularly use/have used different types. They can share their opinions on where best to get them, what works well for certain health things and how often/much to give etc. This would just be to be used as guidelines and to help us make our own choices, a bit of healthy debating is fine and to offer advice about possibly better alternatives but remember we all do what we are able to do to provide the best for our big/little ones. Xxx

I use Salmon oil, coconut oil (I alternate these daily), Dorwest Keepers Mix, Vit E 200IU (I give these average about 3-4 times a week, I also give them all a teaspoon of Manuka Honey (not really a supplement as such) about 3 times a week too.

I don't feed raw but there is an interesting thread on the benefits of coconut oil.

I try and cover their requirements off with a good variety of food types and don't buy specific prepared special supplements as such but I do add in garlic, rosemary, turmeric, apple cider vinegar and now coconut oil, which are supplements of a sort really aren't they as they are given in addition.

Thanks everybody, this will really help people, and I did see the coconut oil thread BT but the link is still quick and useful in relation to this thread.
If any of you have a spare few mins maybe you could add in what each of the things you use are good for?
In the mean time, I for one have got some more things from here to go and read up about now so catch you later. : ) xxx

I use Dorwest. Each day Bernie gets: (click on the links and scroll down for benefits on each) Garlic and Fenugreek tabletKeepers Mix powderEasy-Green powder
He also gets a tsp of Olive Oil daily. I keep these in the cupboard in case of sticky eyes or sore ears: Euphrasia - I had to use these for the first time yesterday as Bernie had really gunky eyes and it cleared them up almost immediately and (touch wood) he hasn't had any gunk in his eyes since. Yes, you should see his wicker basket! It's full of; baby wipes, cotton wool, ear buds, sudocrem, vaseline, vix, canker powder etc etc lol. I find it easy keeping his face folds dry and clean and his face gets cleaned a couple times each day, especially after he's eaten a meal. It's the tear stains that are difficult. I'm trialling lots at the moment. Going to give Apple cider vinegar a go next. Apparently you just add a little in their water or to food and it neutralises the red colour in the tears.

Ooh, might have to give the apple cider a go myself as we have been using diamond eyes for a few weeks which does improve them but they are still very much there. Plus, I'd rather use more natural things if possible. Xxx
