The lady should have mentioned about their inability to produce vitamin c (like us humans) which can lead to scurvy and poor immune system and the probiotics which are available to be added to water as well as mentioning why guinea nuggets are good because they contain vit c.

The 'feeding your guinea pig' section covers their inability to produce vitamin C and recommends foods you can give them that are rich in vitamin C.
