Poor little Lexie. I'm pleased it's gone well. This evening I took my neighbour and one of their cats Toby to the Vet's as they were worried about a wound just over his tail. I looked at it and said they needed to get antibiotics on board pronto. I've had a ginger cat who was a bugger for fights and abscesses. The vet had to shave off a big clump and even though the injury will only have happened at some point earlier it was starting to run.Poor little fella must have been in pain but at least got pain killers and anti biotics on board straight away.

Poor Lexie, I hope she's feeling better soon. We found Flirty had a clump of fur missing from the top of his head the other day, thankfully that was the only damage and on farther wounds.

Thanks everyone - Lexie's being quite good at being confined to a couple of rooms so the others can have the freedom to come & go but if she has to be there for 10 days I think she'll go stir-crazy she's nowhere near as placid as Roman who had all that cage rest & the same 2 room isolation in 2012. She's having her loopy moments playing with her toys, hiding behind the full-length curtains & then charging out & pouching on a ball & chasing it around. Luckily it's not an immobilisation job just a keep in whilst it heals. heartpawprints, sorry to hear about your friends cat hope the abscess heals well - I think that was why the vets wanted to really clean out Lexie's wound. cazypops glad to hear Flirty only had a clump missing & no wound. Seems to be the season at the moment doesn't it!
