So BT you would not use:-
-KC listings on their website
-Club websites for a set breed
-rehoming websites like dog trust etc
THIS IS BUYING FROM ONLINE!!
I bought both my dogs from online and I would do it again.
I insisted on seeing all the paperwork on the health tests and checked that the dogs used were really KC registered. With my youngest I researched that the test numbers I had been provided were correct. I searched back through her pedigree to check that health tests were generally good throughout her pedigree. I even contacted the owner of the dog to make sure that the breeder had stood with him!
I walked away from a litter when I was unhappy with the results I found on the health side. I had been on breeders lists too but unfortunately the planned litter never happened
I probably would still be waiting if I had waited on the list!
The internet can be an invaluable source when searching for a puppy. KC lists all the health tests on pedigree dogs, you can search breeders website for information on certain dogs. I have had fun finding pictures of my dogs ancestors. All helps you to build on the knowledge of the dog that sits in front of you and where they have come from.
I have heard horrendous events of people answering newspaper articles.
WHENEVER YOU BUY A DOG FROM ANY SOURCE IT IS A BUYERS BEWARE MARKET. DO THE LEG WORK AND USE ALL SOURCES OF INFORMATION BEFORE PARTING WITH YOU CASH!
As for the person who is advertising, totally irresponsible.
Then again the people who have taken puppies have not researched that pups should be 8 weeks old!!
