Thanks so much for your greetings! I've got one cat at home since he was half a year about, and he's a mixed cat breed. What I'm just worried about is he usually hangs around the neigbourhood at the night and I'm frightened on him,,,what can I do about it?

Hi amatista. First of all I suppose is what are the risks for him which make you worried? Have you tried keeping him indoors at night, obviously providing at least one if not 2 litter trays? I can understand being concerned as our cats have access to the outside, although Penny doesn't go out so much now. We keep Lexie in her own room at night so as to give the other 3 a bit of peace so she doesn't go out at night & rarely goes away from our garden. Again Osiris goes at various times in the night but doesn't go far but Roman has a tendency to go out over night with the occasional visit in for food, we have a catflap. We have found it difficult to keep them overnight as when we first tried Roman just went out earlier to avoid a curfew & Osiris gets very stressed if he is shut in even though he might not want to go out if he was allowed. Osiris stressed affects the other cats as he becomes slightly aggressive to them along with other inappropriate behaviour. We're lucky we live somewhere quiet & the cats seem very traffic wary.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm Jenny and I have 7 cats. 6 of my cats are indoor cats and go out in the day in a large cat pen in the garden. Toffee, my latest adopted stray goes outdoors and sleeps in my other cats' pen in the night. I used to be worried about him when he was out at night and I didn't know where he was.
Could you keep your cat in at night?

Hi all, and thanks for your advice. We live at a house with a wide roof terrace where Ali likes spending long hours to sunbathe. The trouble is when it gets dark and Ali doesn't go down so, I realise he went for a walk around close houses. Thanks in advance

hi again, I've recently found an interesting website about this trouble and it says something about a cat collar with a light device,,it'll probably be an answer for this trouble. If the forum moderator let me, I'd like to share it cat collar

Interesting amatista. Are you looking for something for the cat to be seen by you & others or for something to find your cat by & perhaps bring him home. If the 1st then the light collar seems a good idea, although I've never heard of them before. If the 2nd then the Loc8tor might be the answer for you. We use it with quite a degree of success with 2 of our cats - one has learnt to come running when his tag is triggered (mind you as he roams quite a bit we still have to search for him but we know where he goes - there is an option to alert if the tag goes out of range but we don't use that option as he enjoys his wanders). We use the Loc8tor Plus see www.loc8tor.com/uk/primary-products/loc8tor-plus-pack.html with the addition of Pet splashproof tag cases for the their collars. There's also the Loc8tor Pet see www.loc8tor.com/uk/primary-products/loc8tor-pet.html/It doesn't have the alert option or as big a range as the Plus which also allows more things to be tagged which is useful given how many tags we have. The direction finding indication is better on the plus too To compare the 2 options see www.loc8tor.com/uk/compare/It is available from a number of online suppliers. Its a case of what you want
