Hi everyone!
Yesterday me and Charlie Boy went to a fun dog show yesterday and entered 4 classes. We entered Handsomest Dog, Dog in best condition, Dog the judge would like to take home and Best trick.
We came 3rd in Handsomest Dog out of 28 dogs and got a nice rosette and some treats
We came 4th in Best trick out of 7 dogs but no prizes were given other than 1st, 2nd, 3rd places.
We came 4th in dog in best condition out of 18 dogs and 6th out of 26 dogs for dog the judge would like to take home.
I got the great experience of being a judge for all the other classes I didn't mention and my cousin held Charlie Boy for me
Of course there were events in between so I didn't have to leave Charles with my cousin the whole time.
Finally, there were two highly aggressive Dachshunds there and they attacked 3 dogs as well as Charlie Boy. Luckily no dogs were injured!! But when they attacked Charlie the male latched onto Charlies neck while the other latched on my leg!! I didn't even give it attention either!! I have been to the doctors and had to stay off school today, the owners didn't even apologize!! I am just pleased my boy wasn't injured!
Charlie proved he would protect me (linking to the thread that Bextull made). When the dog was on my leg, Charles rolled over to get the male dog off him and then he got annoyed as the female was attacking my leg and I was going 'ow man' and stuff and Charlie just grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and literally chucked it on the floor and barked at it! I was proud he protected me and I felt safe, even more safe on walks now! I am glad that he has met strange dogs since the accident too because he is still a friendly boy but is a little bit wary when dogs come up to ME now and he stands in front of me while I meet the dog providing the owner has gien permission, etc. Proud of my little man!
Visit my blog for all the photos, including the breeds of what dog were there! There was LOADS! About 35 dogs came
