Hello Cat Lovers I have had cats for most of my life and recently designed and built a boarding cattery in Spain. Due to financial difficulties, the property had to be sold and the new owner knocked down the cattery (thankfully, we had returned all the cats to their owners). We have now returned to London and as we are renting a flat, we cannot have a cat. I do miss them and am writing a book about the adventure in Spain, on the lines of "A Year in Provence," "Driving Over Lemons" etc. I am currently looking for pet sitting work in central London as at least I could "borrow" a cat or kitten for two weeks or so. This is a photo of Kasper and Amber who came to stay in the cattery for a few weeks. They are Bengals and the owner was unable to keep them and offered them to us, unaware the cattery was for sale. They had such gentle natures and I would have loved to be their proud owner. Looking forward to getting to know you people and your pets.

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it here. Sorry to read your cattery suffered difficulties, good luck with your book & work seeking. You'll find it a bit cooler her compared to Spain

Welcome to the forum. I have one dog a Boston Terrier and two cats, a short haired black and white and a Maine coon cross. My parents had a Bengal x silver tabby and he is huge. I look forward to hearing more about your book.

No, I am in rented accommodation and the landlady lives downstairs and doesn't allow pets. I hope to get a cat sometime in the future.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm Jenny and I have 7 cats and 2 dogs. Shame you can't have a cat in your rented flat as you obviously love them. Sad that your cattery in Spain didn't work out. I hope that you find the work you want as a pet sitter. Good luck with the book.

Thanks for your comments ladies. I'm developing a website for my pet sitting and will get some business cards printed to drop around my local area, as well as at local vets etc.
