I'll lend you for a little time,a dog of mine,God said for you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead, The years they may be six to ten,or even few as three but will you, till I take him back, take care of him for me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you,and shall his time be brief, you'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return, but there are lessons taught down there I want this dog to learn. I've looked the whole world over in my search for masters true, and from from the throngs that crowd lifes lanes,I have selected you. Now will you give him your love, nor think the labour vain, nor hate me when I come to call,to take him home again? I fancied that I heard you say,'Dear Lord thy will be done, for all the joy thy dog shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run'. We'll shelter him with tenderness, and love him while we may, and for the happiness we'll know,we'll ever grateful stay.
In loving memory of MEG,(gorgious Border Collie)you are missed by the many people you befriended. MEG was a wonderful dog, adored by everyone she met as she was so very friendly, and sweet natured.Happily trotting along from the village with her owner to help on his allotment. They made a lovely sight, owner on his bike, with his faithful Meg by is side. Meg was diagnosed with a growth in her mouth only a few months ago,so her loss was doubly devastating for her shocked family and all who knew and loved her.
