Is it possible for me to edit the title of a thread I have created?
Specifically, I want to be able to change the title of my photography thread whenever I update it.

When you edit your thread, you can change/add text next to where it says 'Subject'  |

Yes, just click 'Edit' on your first post in that thread and it lets you change it |

bectil and SH are correct. I do this every time I update my photo album and change the updated date and subject of the new photos |
