Here is guinea fowl and a couple of her friends. She has been visiting my garden for about 16 years. Originally in a flock of 12 who belonged to a neighbour but one by one the foxes caught them. That was about 10 years ago and guinea has been on her own ever since. The neighbour has since moved and me and another neighbour feed her now. She has a lot to say when she sees me and still remains quite frightened of humans which isn't a bad thing and may well have helped her get to such a grand age. When Molly and her brother Max used to go out they totally ignored her as if she was just part of the garden. I love her to bits and worry each winter whether or not she will survive. How lovely to see birds like that in your garden. Amazing that Guinea is 16 and has survived all the cold winters. What is the white bird? Just as well I don't get any birds like that as Toffee would think it's his birthday!

What a great picture puddycats. So lovely to see them all together & 16 years old for a guinea fowl must be quite an age (no expert though ) You certainly have a range of game birds as well as a squirrel visiting your garden.

Yes, I have a lot of wildlife visiting the garden. Far too many squirrels . Roe deer (who eat my roses). Lots of pheasants (the white bird is a female pheasant Jenny, their colouring is anything from pale cream to dark brown). Parakeets and lots and lots of small birds. At night it is the turn of the foxes and badgers. It is amazing that I manage to keep a reasonable looking garden . Pauline, I think in the wild guinea fowl may live 10 - 15 years, so yes, 16 is a good age. Parakeet! I would be in my element in your garden! What a selection of wildlife - you're very lucky! I love watching wildlife in my garden, and could sit for hours watching.. especially when mr squirrel pays a visit. Last year we had a Nuthatch and a couple of Song Thrushes (there were lots on the field last year, and spotted some today when walking the dogs). I got so excited when I saw and heard a Song Thrush trying to break a snail shell on the wall! (I'm a little sad ) This year, I saw a Great Spotted Woodpecker on my bird table just recently.. again, I was so happy when I saw it

Wow they really are stunning! Whereabouts do you live to get such lovely wildlife? Thank you. A field backs onto my garden where horses are kept (I live near Epsom Surrey but I am not a horsey person ) and then it opens up into common land so of course all the wildlife roam/fly over from there. Female roe deer from the other day - helping to keep the grass down . 76300_284539298341925_1658567221_n by puddycats 2013, on Flickr
