Hello, My name is Ruth Phillips, and I am currently studying BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare at the University of the West of England, Hartpury College. For my dissertation, I am looking in to whether breeding type (pure breed or cross breed) has an effect on the prevalence or type of behavioural problems seen in dogs. There have been many studies looking at other factors, and only a handful have mentioned it their findings. I am inviting you to take part in this questionnaire for my dissertation research. It asks many questions about your dogs behavioural problems, and if you feel like this would make you uncomfortable disclosing this information, I would politely suggest you not to take part. Please only fill out this out if your dog has a behavioural problem, and please only fill out ONE questionnaire PER DOG. This should take just under 10 minutes to complete. docs.google.com/forms/d/1T-hHXr42S8UPaeaiAh0IemhGIdEdA4Of5S53IGXZVm0/viewformIf you have any questions about this questionnaire, please feel free to email me on ruth.phillips@hartpury.ac.uk. Thankyou.

Thankyou guys for filling in the questionnaire and your messages. The dog in my avatar is actually my parents, he's called Max, he's getting on a bit but still acts as if he is puppy That is my favourite picture of him.

Hi, happy to fill out, however have question about Q11, "my dogs behaviour problem is related to its breeding". To me this can be taken two ways, 1 as in behaviour is caused by dogs with bad genes being bred thus increasing chance of aggression or whatever problem behaviour or 2 as in being bred for specific purpose, but dog has then transferred that purpose onto other objects causing issues (basically my border collie would herd cars/bikes etc all day long and it is a behaviour problem but is not a result of her breeding as that was what she was bred to to (but to livestock, not cars lol). Hope you understand. I will await your response before filling out rest of survey
