Well it was good news but he is now back on a drip as the kidney function has deteriorated. Hopefully we' ll have better news tomorrow. Oh no, I hope he's starts bucking up soon, and you too so you can at least go to see him. Do you have a way of video calling each other, or is it just phone calls? I was very upset as yesterday as OH was put onto oxygen to help with his breathing difficulties and low oxygen levels BUT the CT scan from the previous day has highlighted the cause of his problems.( a bacterial infection). He has now been moved to a different hospital and put onto a ward specifically for Covid patients. He remains on oxygen, IV antibiotics, oral anti biotics and the saline drip but when I spoke to him earlier he sounds more cheerful than he has in the past week or so. The best news is that as soon as I am out of ' quaretine which will be tomorrow I can visit him as he is no longer in strict isolation. Thank you one and all for your kind wishes.

That's great news meandmine it's good that he sounds happier and at least now they know what is causing the problem and the infection can be treated. You will be so pleased to see him and I bet it perks him up seeing you 😉 Hope the hospital is not too far away for you . Take care xx

Well this week hasn’t been the best! Starting Saturday afternoon when I found out that I’m losing my venue for agility and lots of the other training I’ve been doing 😢 Struggling to find somewhere else, and I’ll have the expense of all the agility equipment too, as sadly I don’t own what we’re using now. I visited somewhere on Tuesday, but she wanted to charge me £10 per dog! When I’m only charging £12 per dog, there’s no way that’s going to happen!!
Monday I took Kobi to his first ever group training session though which was good. After a setback with another dog a few weeks ago, I’ve been struggling to get him to focus on me around other dogs. Hoping we can solve it, but I’d be lying if I denied I was gutted at how far backwards we’ve gone.
Now think it’s all just caught up with me and feeling massively useless with everything, including business and my own dogs 🤦♀️ on the plus, Scouty got booked for a gig in London in a couple of weeks which is exciting! Just worrying now that we wont be good enough!
Hoping camping and competing at a flyball comp this weekend will do me some good 😂

You had to bring you sister up when you were still just a kid yourself. You have been thru sooo much , and still you managed to train up 3 dogs to Millies standard. Millie was your support mentally , and you will get thru this knock back too, you will come out the other end Stronger . Don't give up on yourself please xx

Haven't been on here in ages again - sorry guys! Still just muddling along as usual, still walking dogs day in day out keeping me very busy! Sadly we lost my partners ferret (Doodle) last weekend - I don't think I've ever mentioned before that we had a ferret, oops! Would she have been the first forum ferret? She was 6 years and 9 months old though so a good age for a ferret, my partner is very upset as he was quite attached to her she was a really friendly and lovely girl. Sadly she had insulinoma and it was the kindest thing to do to put her to sleep as she kept having sugar crashes which would cause her to have funny turns (one time she fell down one of the levels in her cage), sadly vet services for ferrets are quite limited as most vets don't know what to do with them, although looking up online the options would have been limited anyway - either surgery (which we wouldn't have done due to her age), or medication, which we also wouldn't have gone for even if the vet offered it as she had a large tumour on her pancreas, we knew she was uncomfortable with it and we didn't want her to have a sugar crash while we weren't there and have something really bad happen. RIP Doodle <3 x

That's good news that you can go and see him tomorrow, meandmine . I bet you are counting down the hours. Now that they know the cause, fingers cross the new meds he will be on work. It was wonderful to see OH yesterday ( and this afternoon) and he looked better than i was expecting. He continues on the oxygen but at long last his sat. levels are rising and they have reduced the amount of oxygen he receives. He is also still on the i/v and oral antibiotics but again they must be doing their job as his breathing has definitely improved. Today he has re started a v low dose of one of his usual heart medications and will continue on daily blood tests to see how/ if the re introduction interferes with his progress. Hopefully the other 'normal' tablets he takes can then be added back into the cocktail of drugs. He has had no interest in anything for the past two weeks but I know he must be ' on the mend' as he rang me this morning asking that I take one of his football shirts in to him ready for the England match tomorrow!
