Omg 😦 Riley’s insurance has come through for renewal . Animal Friends- superior 2023 - £37:67 month Annual - 452:04p 2024 - £65:23 month Annual- £782.04 p I can’t believe how much it has increased. Elsa’s has not come through yet but it is currently £36:75 We have decided to start a standing order into a savings account for Riley for £50. We just can’t afford the increase not with Elsa’s insurance too it’s just to much of an increase .🥲😦 Wow, that's a big jump. I changed Kobi's to John Lewis Insurance for £21.08 per month. It's not a great amount I can claim, but it's something, up to £2,000 per year. There's an excess of £100 and 20% co-payment. |

I never had insurance for Trinket Tobi or Beau , l just did a regular savings pot just for him. We were lucky , apart from when Tobi became quite unwell , pancreatic problems etc at the end he cost us £12,000 but again we had the money accumulated so didn't have to find much ,

Its very difficult knowing what to do , atm chantel that equates to £1.50 a day for security , but if its not used it will have been dead money. x |

Just re visited this poem l wrote when l was chatting to meandmine We had a beautiful Springer called Trinket, she was a lovely lovely girl, and it broke my heart when she went to the bridge.... so much so that I said No More dog's it's too heartbreaking, I can't go thru this again ( obviously I was very upset at the time ), we lasted 18 months until this......
GUESS IT WAS MEANT TO BE
Was late one evening, in the middle of the week
A phone call came, for a home they did seek
A Puppy called Tobi, so sad but true...
Who was no longer wanted
Now what should I do ?
See it was 18 months now, since my heart got broke
And "Never Again" were the words I spoke
So to the caller I said, leave it with me..
I will give it some thought, and get back if we agree
Well late on Friday that call came again
What had we decided, did we want him or not ?
As when Saturday comes, that's his lot
If we didn't take him, it's off to the pound..
We are very sorry, but we can't keep him around
Saturday Morning a car pulls up
I can see the people, but where was the pup ?
As they all climbed out, my heart missed a beat
Up popped this little face, oh my word, you looked so sweet
So off to the kitchen, for a cup of tea
With Tobi in tow, running merrily
Off into the lounge he instantly fled
And up against my couch he cocked his leg
The look on my face was a picture to see
But, I'm still thinking... Is this meant to be ?
So over a cuppa, we talked about you that day
And decided your here now, so you may as well stay
Thanks for blessing our lives for 10 years Tobi xxx

That's good to know lotsofcats. I try and avoid the self-service tills as much as I can, I prefer to go through the maned till. I would also prefer the manned tills, but when I pop into Asda before work they rarely have any open. |
