Oh no scallywag, that's terrible that your latest bank will be closing too. What's your next option?

Not long until your new hours start chantel. You will enjoy your Tuesdays and Fridays off. Better to be better off mentally.

I opened a basic account at the Saffron Building society , where I can bank chqs cash , withdraw etc, Their Head Office is here in town , so lets hope they stay in touch with the world and poor old people that can not bank on line and NEED Cash , without having to queue at the Post Office

On Tuesday I had an appointment with the nurse for spirometry ,I did some breathing tests , firstly without using any inhalers and then with using inhalers. The nurse contacted me at work yesterday to confirm that I do have asthma, they can see that I have airway restriction. I never thought for one minute that I had asthma- I have been told for the last 10 months that it was long covid and made to feel that I was wasting the doctors time.🙈

Glad you didn't give up going to the doctors.

I'm still with Barclays for banking but the branches shut in my local town and the town where I work. Nearest branch is now 10 miles away in a town I wouldn't want to go to. It's called Newport and was actually given city status. Years ago it was a brilliant thriving town until the council got rid of a huge carpark. Gradually shops in the main street closed down and now it's full of homeless people in the doorways and students from the university. If I want cash I buy something from Asda and can get cashback up to £50. It suits me fine at the moment.

I've been abandoned in work. First of all my one boss (other boss on holiday) said he was off out. Then the 2 site boys said that they were told they could go at 12 instead of 2pm and that the boss probably won't be back as nothing was going right for him today. Why couldn't I go too? Is it something I did, or didn't do? Doesn't matter now, it's nearly 2pm and time to go.

Omg 😦 Riley’s insurance has come through for renewal . Animal Friends- superior
2023 - £37:67 month Annual - 452:04p
2024 - £65:23 month Annual- £782.04 p
I can’t believe how much it has increased. Elsa’s has not come through yet but it is currently £36:75
We have decided to start a standing order into a savings account for Riley for £50. We just can’t afford the increase not with Elsa’s insurance too it’s just to much of an increase .🥲😦

I paid with my card at the self-service that says Cash and Card Payments, and instead of tapping my card I put it in the card reader. Up on the screen came a choice of cash back amounts I could have, I think it's £10, £20, £30, £40 or £50.
