Glad you are back lotsofcats , hope you donโt have to wait too long for the results ๐ I found out that hubby has been to see a gp at the beginning of December for a hard lump that has appeared on his chest ๐๐ฆ he has received a hospital appointment for a ultrasound sound 19th feb ๐ When I asked him about it he said โ that he didnโt want to worry me and make me more anxious ๐ I can understand where he is coming from but I feel really anxious now ๐ although he said that the gp wasnโt overly worried, but obviously the history with his mum does make me worry ๐ OMG, of course you are worried now that you know. Take comfort that the gp isn't overly worried and that the hospital appointment isn't an urgent appointment.

Yes I know what you mean lotsofcats Urgent referrals are normally 2 weeks and you should be given an appointment within 2 weeks , although a lot of urgent referrals are now within 4 weeks because of the backlog and the strikes ๐

I wonder if I should give him a dose every day and perhaps it will keep it at bay.

I don't get much joy with the vet scallywag. Each time I mention it they say they want to see him when he has a bout of diarrhoea. He's not going in my car when he has it!! They say a probiotic is good for him, which Intestopro is. The vet won't recommend anything else without seeing him.

I bought it off Amazon and it comes with a little scoop - you add a few scoops of powder then make up with cold water , stir well and bring to the boil in a saucepan and then with a syringe add to the food, itโs well worth the money lotsofcats ๐

We have been fighting with Jaspers tummy all his life. In the end our vet suggested Arden grange pork and rice. It's an alternative protein instead of Chicken or Lamb, it was working too in conjunction with Aldi's Earls pate trays (the trays less than 5% in fat)
Then I could only get it in large bags so changed to Arden Grange Senior chicken and rice, and that is also doing the trick.
We know about it if he has something that is too high in fat for him though.

We know about it if he has something that is too high in fat for him though. When we got Beau , it took me about 4 different types of food as he too had a very sensitive tummy. I ended up with Burns Chicken and Brown Rice. He had that all his life. I could never understand when people used to say they gave a veriety , I thought it was always a guide that if you change a food you have to introduce it gradually over time and ween them off what they are on ?? Maybe I was being a bit thick, but whilst Beau and Tobi woofed it down , and never turned their nose up thats what they got, !
Ooo now thats a thought I wonder if I can get away with feeding the O.H with cheese sandwiches ONLY

lotsofcats Riley and Elsa used to have James well beloved and weโre fine until they changed the packaging, Iโm convinced they changed the kibble in some way because thatโs when Elsa started with the poos and constant colitis ๐ itโs a known fact that R Collies have sensitive tummyโs andRiley had been perfectly fine for the the first five years of his life on James well beloved . Any way we decided to look into a new food for them both and tried Arden Grange sensitive grain free ocean fish and potato kibble and we have never looked back ๐ Although I have to say that it is not cheap but we buy a big sack and it normally lasts about 3 months . Riley wonโt eat dry food alone so they share1 boiled chicken fillet with kibble, Riley wonโt eat anything else now he is very very fussy. I have managed to find Arden grange sensitive senior, they both have it because I canโt afford to feed different varieties - they very rarely get the ๐ฉ now - itโs normally when they have their wormer treatment. ๐

Well I have been thinking ๐ค about it for a while joining the gym ๐, I just have been feeling so unfit since I was poorly ๐ท last year and now I have reached the age of *0๐thought it would be good and give me something to focus on and also it might help with my anxiety. Hubby is a member and I thought it would give us something to do together.
So I had my first session last night , I think it will take me a while to get going and I struggled sitting on the cycle with my coccyx injury but other than that it went ok , but my legs are really achy today ๐

That made me laugh regarding the cheese sandwich scallywag. I'll give Arden Grange Pork and Rice a try cazypops. Well done in trying the gym chantel. I hope it helps. I go to an aerobics class every Thursday (used to go 4 times a week when I was addicted to it). I can't jump around like I used to due to arthritis in my knees and painful hips, but I do as much as I can and I'm sure it helps. I have been suffering with a pulled muscle in the top of my right arm since November and it's taking ages to get better and I usually end up doing some 'one arm' aerobics as I can't lift my right arm so much. Last night I thought I'd try working through the pain on the assumption that something would loosen and aid my recovery. No such luck, I was in pain in the night!!
