My dad had his booster last Thursday. He said he felt rotten on Friday, but was alright on Saturday. Funny thing though, his first two vaccines were Astra Zeneca and his booster was Pfizer as apparently that's what they're giving everyone.

I had my booster last week and apart from a bit of an achy arm was absolutely fine. My first two were Pfizer, as was the booster but I didn’t have any horrible side affects with any of them.

Yes, my first 2 were Astra Zeneca and my booster will be Pfizer. I'm going from work at 10am to have mine. I've heard that the queues are huge this time so I'm going earlier and hoping the morning won't be as bad as the afternoons. Just got back, it was the Moderna vaccine for my booster and I feel okay so far apart from a sore arm. I had to wait about an hour for my jab.

You're young to have your booster @millipup04, or do you just phone and make your own appointments in England? In Wales we have to wait for an invitation.

I was invited as I’m registered as my mums carer and she is vulnerable. That’s the only reason!

Apparently all the boosters will be Pfizer or Moderna as the Astra Zeneca supplies have been sent elsewhere. I don't know how true that is, but it explains the difference I suppose.

I’ve been invited to book my booster but hanging on I’m doing jury service at the moment so waiting for that to end don’t want to feel poorly and have to travel to the court

To be honest I don't think it will ever stop was reading today about a new variant nu it's called it can defeat all the vaccine so this thing will just keep changing and we will keep trying to beat it God I hope I'm wrong

How's the jury service going? Have you been in on any cases yet? I did jury service when I was 21 and ended up on a boring 2 week case of conspiracy to steel aluminium from the local steel works. We carried on the second week with only 11 jurors as one got killed in a car crash over the weekend!

I've had my booster a few weeks ago, it was the Pfizer as opposed to the original Astra-Zenica. I was also given my flu jab at the same time, one in each arm. Can't remember which arm had which now but one came up in a bruise a few days later! I was also told I was entitled to a shingles vaccination but that couldn't be given at the same time, I've got to book that after a few weeks. I think I'm going to feel like a pin cushion as I also had blood taken from my hand yesterday for tests!
As to needing a booster I suspect we may well be having annual ones just like the flu one as they adapt to new variants.

I was supposed to be offered a pneumonia vaccination last year but still haven't. I think I'll phone the doctor's surgery and ask about it. I would like to have one. It's almost impossible to get through to the surgery as they open the phone lines when I'm on my way to work. Once I get in work it's continually engaged.
