Hubby is in bad books (again). I was talking over the garden fence with my neighbour discussing our plants when I remembered I had a white hydrangea shrub which is about 5 years old and had flowered last year for the second time. There it is said my neighbour pointing to a branch with leaves just starting to sprout. I touched it and it came away in my hand and when I looked further down the plant I can see someone has cut it off with secateurs - all that's left is an 8 inch stem and it was about 3 feet tall. His excuse was he thought it was the lavatera shrub that had died. Earlier on in the year he cut the top of my echium pininana (a plant that grows over 12 feet tall, it's a tower of flowers). It will grow back he said - no it won't as it only grows from the top. I had to buy another one and it's quite expensive. Oh dear , these men eh

Have a good bank holiday everyone ๐time to chill out ๐ Iโm planning on not doing much at all - I had some bloods done Friday due to feeling generally rubbish with bloody vertigo again ๐the gp called me whilst I was at work Thursday- apparently my vitamin D and calcium is significantly low ๐she said it was probably why I was feeling so rubbish ๐ Iโv been prescribed some extra strength vitamin D and calcium to take for 10 weeks then got to have my bloods done again . She told me that I must be having a very poor diet generally I would say no Iโv always eaten plenty of fruit and veg and tried to eat healthy ๐but since my dadโs passing Iโv not been eating much especially with the anxiety - just been eating a little of what I fancied but Iโm going to try and add more diary to my diet now. I was prescribed the vitamin d but told to buy the calcium over the counter at the pharmacy they cost me bloody ยฃ18 for 100 chewable tablets ๐excuse the swearing ๐. Apparently Monday is going to be a wash out with heavy rain โ๏ธ โน๏ธ

Oh dear chantel I feel your frustrations , you swear away if it helps , hope you get yourself back to full health soon. What does the vertigo do to you is that dizziness nauseous etc Yes scallywag itโs the nausea and dizziness with the vertigo ๐ขIโv also been having pain at the bottom of my tailbone and been doing exercises- itโs been a struggle at work sitting for long periods but I have recently bought a specialised cushion which as really helped me . I was told by the gp right at the beginning that it was due to child birth ๐คทโโ๏ธI did say at the time would it be worth having some bloods done because I wondered if it was due to a deficiency effecting my bones ๐ฆด I have had low calcium before but never like this ๐ The gp now says the vitamin d and calcium deficiency is not just low but significantly at the bottom of the scale. So all my symptoms I am experiencing/ very dry skin/vertigo/my hair thinning/ generally feeling tired and rubbish is all down to the deficiency I thought it was just stress due to losing my Dad๐ข The gp refused to run blood tests at the beginning of the first lock down ๐1 yr ago. They did the bloods last week because I was struggling with the dizziness again thinking it ๐ค could be thyroid but that was fine. At least I know now itโs just really frustrating that I have been in pain with my back and feeling rubbish for quite some time now. But hopefully now I have started taking the supplements and Iโm going to try and adapt my diet a little. Thanks scallywag x

I do have tablets prescribed scallywag but the gp are a bit funny about prescribing them regular- they wanted to look into it because they said there might be an underlying problem although in a funny kind of way it was due to me getting the vertigo again and having to call the gp for medication they then decided to look into which it was a good job they did other wise I wouldnโt have known about the deficiency โน๏ธ

Went for my jab , was given the Pfizer one , so far so good no side affects , its been 11 hours ๐ Got a txt this morning inviting me to book my 2nd jab ๐ its next Thursday . Thats what 6 weeks early ๐ Hubby had the Pfizer jab too and his 2nd jab was 5 weeks later than the 1st one. His mum and stepdad had theirs 5 weeks apart too. I've got my 2nd jab on the 19th and it's 13 weeks after my 1st one, but that's the Astrazeneca one. The venue has been changed too and I've got to go 10 miles away from home this time. The last one was in a sports stadium so perhaps due to everything opening up now that will no longer be used.

We have bird feeders on our potted cherry tree and there's 2 old hanging baskets that we put meal worms and suet food in. These baskets are very old and worn down on the sides and the material that is woven around wires has come away. Yesterday, a jackdaw got his claw caught in the wire bit and was flapping about and hanging upside down, it was quite distressing. I got hubby to go and look for his wire cutters but in the meantime the jackdaw managed to get free and fly away. I decided the old baskets are far too dangerous to use and took them down. we fitted a temporary feeders - a plastic flower basket with a plate inside to hold the birdfeed. I looked in Wilko's on the way to work but they had nothing suitable so I have ordered 2 wooded feeders from eBay.

I've got my first jab booked for Saturday morning. I've heard that anyone under 40 will be given Pfizer now, but I suppose I won't know for sure until the day.
