Don't think of him as gone away -his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets -this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living In the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost -And he was loved so much xxxxxx

Lozzy, I was so sad to hear you'd had to have Mayhem put to sleep yesterday. He went through so much when you adopted him & his sibling last year. I can still picture the photos you posted of the pair of almost identical black kittens. That is a lovely sentiment you've posted.  its still such a shock.. but thank you to you all for your supportive words. he went in for an abscess wound on the Monday and he was fine alittle of colour, and by Friday he was gone  i will never ever forget that week ever it was awful. i never expected in a million years for him not to be here now and even the vets are 100% sure what had happened all his bloods came back normal.. expect his bilirubin levels for his liver... as he went jaundice his tests for felv and fiv also came back negative. they think its possible he may of had a liver shunt, which is why his body rejected the medications the vets gave him, and his liver couldnt process them, his body shut down ... this is something he would of been born with, and no one was to know - he was to poorly to do any further tests like biospys and what not. i still cant get my head around any of it, i was so close to mayhem and he has helped me with all my foster kittens this year and i really miss him its also possible Mischief may suffer with the same problem ( his sister ), but she is fine for now. the vet said it was a very rare and heartbreaking case... Mayhem was for sure one of a kind. ![]() |

So young Lozzy He'd grown into such a lovely cat, I hadn't seen pictures of him as an adult but he definitely was a stunner. I hope that Mischief will continue to be fine. |

Hi lozzy,
my deepest condolences on your loss of Mayhem. Having Ailsa and Iona at the same age it seems so unbelievable that he's gone.
