as anyone tried to upload photos onto the forum via their computer recently. I was going to change my avatar today via photobucket, but it uploaded my photo straight from my laptop. didn't know it was up and running again:-)

Uploading photos for avatars has never been a problem, has it? I thought it was only posts that were being affected! However, when I just tried to upload a photo, it took a while (so I cancelled it out of impatience!) but it was uploading fine to start with!

Must just have been lucky - just tried an attachment (759 KB) & it it failed due to space. Or the avatar area is separate. If people are replacing avatar pics with pb or flickr photos then this may release some space (just a guess)

I have just tried again and the speed was increased. However, the same error warning appeared when it had finished. I am coming to the conclusion that the avatars HAVE been working all along! Haven't changed mine in AGES, and not planning to. But nice avatar chantel by the way!!

Just double checked & the same photo will upload as an avatar so it looks like PB is right & avatars are separate & have been & still are working

Looks like you can upload avatars from anywhere, permitting they are in the allowed MB group.
