Hello, just joined as we are getting our puppy in January sometime, and I thought I could pick peoples brains with some questions our breeder is lovely and very helpful , but I don't want to bombard her with emails everyday as I am beyond excite! Are there any Bolognese owners out there I could get some advise from? Thanks in advance!

Responsible breeder should welcome any questions and concerns you may have and should be your first port of call.
After that ask us and we shall do our best. But to my knowledge there isn't a vet nor vet nurse now, nor a breeder or qualified trainer. But the pool of knowledge is immense.

As I said she is very helpful and a very responsible breeder. I have done my homework. She has already given me lots of advise and will continue to do so after. I just thought it would be nice to speak with other owners as well?

She is and is very helpful. Always happy to answer any questions. I just thought it would be nice to exchange stories with Bolognese owners?

Yes, always feel free to ask other dog owners questions! Welcome to the forum. As far as I'm aware, you're the first Bolognese owner on here, so maybe you'll be the one to tell us what they are like!

Welcome to the forum! Unfortunately, I don't own a Bolognese, so probably can't help with breed specific questions, but feel free to ask advice on general things too

Hi and welcome to the forum. Not had any experience with the Bolognese breed myself but feel free to ask any puppy questions and we will try and help. Or just tell us what you know about the breed. Ooh and we love puppy photos so please share. :S

Welcome I shan't say anymore than what has already been said - to be brutally honest with myself, I cannot think of much more to advise! We have some very knowledgable members on here. So I better keep quiet or I may be accused of copyright Haha, hope you enjoy it here on the forum and find it a helpful source of pet information. Please remember photos when you get your puppy. We are puppy (and photo!) broody here! BT + Earl

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I will indeed post photos when I bring her home... counting the days. The Bolognese is from the bichon family so very similar to the frise and havanese. They are a lovely little breed. We almost got a bichon which are also adorable with lovely natures but after meeting the mum to be and her siblings we just fell in love and kept everything crossed that we would end up getting one of her puppies. I love all dogs and grew up with labs (2) bearded collies (3) and my mum now has a lovely cocker spaniel. I feel the time is now right for my family to welcome a dog as the kids are teenagers and can help and I have more time on my hands. I am anticipating this will be like bringing a baby home so gearing up for sleepless nights, lots of little accidents and a whole lot of fun!
