dont know what i had on today but when i got home i reached out to moonbeam who ran over to i think smell my hand you could hear the spark jump it seemed to hit him on the nose poor littke man got a terrible fright he was ok and we made up but he looked at me as if to say what did u do that for i felt soooo bad i been getting shocks from our car in the last few days

That's odd, I've been getting static shocks off my dog for a few days! Maybe its something in the air.

Not heard of that before . I often get shocks off the car but never anything with the cats. Poor Moonbeam, glad he's forgiven you

It's funny I used to get that quite a lot but not recently. I know how you feel as Molly used to look at me as if to say "how could you do that to me!" I think it tended to happen when I had just got a shock from the car too.

Freaky!!! I've had my car nearly 2 years now and never had a shock from it. But this week I've had 3 lots of static shocks from it and also when I've kissed hubby!?!

I heard its the heating and manmade fabrics we rub against that cause this. Nylon and fleece are proper shockers. Try rubbing your hands on wool or wood before you stroke your pet.

I often get static shocks from the tack off my horses, also the car! Never had one off my dogs or cats, poor Moonbeam glad he is okay and you are still best buds!
