My Mum has a budgie, he is 12 years old. For the last week he has been holding his head tipped on one side, does anyone know what could be causing this.

Thanks for your concern scallywag, been googling it and it looks like it could be an ear infection or ear mites.

Yes tonib I think that is probably best as I don't know a lot about birds.

When its head is tipped to the side it could be a neurological issue, you must take it to a small animal vet.
