I loved your tips for Bonfire Night. Bernie has not yet experienced his first fireworks but just in case, I think we'll stock up on some action movies like advised and have a night in. I'm sure Bernie will end up sharing the popcorn too! I really do believe that if you don't make a big deal about it the chances are they will be fine. Every dog/cat is different and some are just born to be scared or weary of loud noises etc but I think a lot does depend on the "families" reaction to noise. The cats only react if outside when the fireworks start. And Cooper doesn't even seem to noticed or maybe he just doesn't care?!? I just have the telly on in two different rooms and draw the curtains. I've Never had a problem. You're right, if we worry they pick up on it. Bernie wasn't afraid of the thunder and is pretty good with loud noises. He'll be fine no doubt. Still a nice excuse for a good movie and some popcorn though lol.

Ooh definitely, never a bad time for popcorn & a film.

Hmmmm...I loved the Fun, Friendship and Flyball...I'm not bias! But camp was AMMMAZZZIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I got to meet Weims which was BRILLIANT!!!!! Scooby is the most soppy dog I have ever met. You come up to him and his whole body starts to shake and then BOOM he's all crazy and acting like a puppy, and also thinks he's the size of a jack russell, ahhh I do love Scoob! Tyra can now do a full course (and even got us a 1st at a BAA agility show!) And ANYONE who's thinking of going should BECAUSE IT'S AMAZING. The magazine explained it brilliantly, and great to see some of my mates interviewed

In the October issue I enjoyed reading "the long and short of it", having a dog who has a wooly coat I like to learn new things about Carib or him coat type. I also enjoyed reading "fun, friendship and flyball"...always wanted to do flyball even before I owned a dog then once I got Ted I just never had the money due to being at Uni :/ I still would like to try it out now but worried Ted wouldn't take to it as well as he isn't used to going to any classes or things I like the section called "she says hello to everyone" as Ted is such a social dog he has got a lot better with maturity and especially now his recall is a lot better as it took me a long time to master his recall because he just loved to play so much, he does still wander off now and again but much better at coming back I loved! The 10 things to look forward to this Autumn as I just love a good country walk when the weather is nice and crispy and your all wrapped up Good read this month made me excited for boots and coat weather and long walks with my Teddy bear! <3 P.s sorry for the long article

I enjoyed the grooming article. Working as a dog groomer we get SO many dogs in that are tangled and matted because the owners don't know enough about how to care for the coat properly, then are extremely unhappy when we tell them the coat will have to be clipped short.
Also the article on training classes! I'm also doing a degree in Canine Behaviour and Training an helping at training classes. The amount of bad (or damaging!) advice people give out is terrifying. Getting the right start for a puppy is SO important.
I don't understand why people are willing to take behaviour advice on serious behavioural issues from vets/groomers/nutritionists, when they wouldn't take veterinary advice from a trainer/groomer/nutritionist. It's just as important to get the correct care for your dogs mental wellbeing as for the physical!
