My mag arrived yesterday. I had a quick flick through and found the list of coats available interesting, as what with recently rescuing a Whippet X, he needs a good coat for the colder days. I also found page 42 helpful, as my Border Collie absolutely hates anything that goes with a bang! bectil

I really enjoyed reading 'Fun, Friendship, and Flyball' about the Young Kennel Club Summer Camp - it has really given me an insight into how the camp works and what goes on. For those who want to go next year, or those newbies who have never been before, it is a must-read!
Also:
I loved reading about the perks of Autumn! Its got me really excited to get cosy with my dog and bake doggie biscuits fresh from the oven... my boy is even all kitted out with a fleecy warm, high vis and reflective coat for when the cooler weathers blow over.

Well got my issue this weekend but only had chance for a quick glance, i too liked the section on coats as i am on the look out for a coat for Riley, although he only really needs a waterproof coat with him being double coated.

Reporting back as promised.
I haven't mentioned this previously but I am always pleased to see The Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme advertised in the back of your mags. It is so important to find a good breeder these days especially as many 'breeders' are straying so far from the Kennel Club Standards and potentially destroying the breeds. Hopefully it stops so many first time puppy buyers unknowingly buying from puppy farms too.
10 Things To Look Forward To This Autumn was lovely to read and has got me very excited indeed. Bernie and myself aren't fans of the Summer anyway and we are looking forward to the colder months.
I learnt an awful lot about the different types of dog coats from your page; The Long And Short Of It. Where I work, I have customers come in daily asking which brush is best for their dogs coat type and now I will be able to advise them with confidence.
I've always been one for a good horror story so I found the Terrifying Tails a brilliant read.
I loved your tips for Bonfire Night. Bernie has not yet experienced his first fireworks but just in case, I think we'll stock up on some action movies like advised and have a night in. I'm sure Bernie will end up sharing the popcorn too!
Over and out!

I'm sure Bernie will end up sharing the popcorn too! I really do believe that if you don't make a big deal about it the chances are they will be fine. Every dog/cat is different and some are just born to be scared or weary of loud noises etc but I think a lot does depend on the "families" reaction to noise. The cats only react if outside when the fireworks start. And Cooper doesn't even seem to noticed or maybe he just doesn't care?!? I just have the telly on in two different rooms and draw the curtains. I've Never had a problem.
