On 26th August 2009 my beautiful Breagha was put to sleep, after the hypoglycemia she suffered from for 18 months caused her cluster fits. She could not suffer any longer and we made the decision for her in the end, although we hoped and prayed she would let go herself. She was 14 years old, and we adopted her aged 6 in 2001.
'Breagha' is Gaelic for beautiful, and to us, we couldn't have picked a better name for her.
She was our first Greyhound, and a very special girl. I made this tribute for her long not after she died. I can't bear to watch it right now, but I want to share her with you all because she was such a big part of my life and without her, I likely wouldn't have got Todd or any of my other Greyhounds.
And one of my favourite videos of her...
She always liked her ears scratched!

There's no real point to this thread, but I'm thinking about her a lot today, and will be tomorrow too. 26th of August is also Todd's 'Gotcha Day' - had him 8 years tomorrow.
