My female cat Totty is 14 and recently has started to do some strange things. She is a ferrell cat so has never really been one for accepting lots of affection and when you do get chance to stroke her she normally goes to bite or scratch you. Over the last few weeks she seems permanently hungry, will not leave us alone when we eat! She sits and cries at the cat flap even though it's open , she sticks to my husband like glue, unusually close to him rubbing herself against his head, legs etc! She looks like she has lost weight too, but seems as agile as ever. We just think she is unusually affectionate and seems to have lost her marbles!! Anyone have any ideas why she is like this? !

Welcome to the forum.
I haven't got much of an idea what could be the problem. However if she's always hungry & yet has lost weight I would suggest a trip to the vet. Cats can get dementia as they age but I wouldn't have put this description as such an instance but I'm no expert.
Is anything upsetting her outside (or in) that is making her less confident? A new cat in the area for instance. Sounds like she's marking your husband as hers which could also indicate a loss of confidence.
Others may have some more ideas.

Permanently hungry and losing weight.... I assume she is up to date with worming?

I would get a vet to check her if possible (what with her being feral!).
Weight loss and hunger can mean a few things. Hyperthyroidism springs to mind but then cats usually get very grumpy with that!
Get her wormed + vet checked.
In case of dementia there is a med called aktivait which helps but takes 4 weeks to start working.
