This dog belongs to someone I know. He is 5 months old and weighs 10kg already. He is not a good example of the breed and I think tbh, he is a frenchie cross. When he sits, his hind legs splay like this and the longer he sits, the more they'll slide apart. To me this looks abnormal. Is something potentially wrong and could he have a problem? (PHOTO'S REMOVED) If you want to me nosey, I can pm the links to you

Could he have something like hip dysplasia, it looks very abnormal to me, if it was my dog i would be very concerned

I agree it certainly is not normal to be sitting like that

The first one looks very abnormal. The next one looks better but still a little 'wrong'. I would do further research is this dog was my own just in case it was something like hip dysplasia or something else.

Thank you puppypal What really annoys me is... this woman (okay she's not a friend) went to my breeder for a puppy - who has a waiting list. She didn't want to wait... This is what happens when you buy a dog on a whim. I'm not even convinced he's a purebred.

They decided they wanted a puppy there & then and were too impatient to wait! So they have ended up with a crossbreed (She's supposed to be a Cavalier but there's no way she is - far too big & looks identical to a Cocker!) That photo doesn't look quite right, and I'm sure I've read somewhere that it can be a sign of hip problems. I'd take him to the Vets to get checked......

I recommended getting him checked and she lashed out at me. I used to work with her. She's not a very nice lady but I've always been nothing but friendly to her. I'm not quite sure why she has such a problem with me
