I have looked everywhere and I mean everywhere. My boyfriend had it when he came home last night from work and he swears he put it on the table. I have searched high and low and there is no sign of it. The only thing I can think of is it fell off the table and she got it. I phoned the vet and they said just keep an eye on her but she does seem very sluggish this morning. She went to the toilet fine this morning and was playing with Rio earlier though not like her usual self. It's my only car key too! The vet seemed to think it would be too big for her but i've seen dogs eat the strangest things. I guess all I can do is wait and see what she does but I literally have no idea where it has gone. What do I do? She won't be able to pass it surely if she has eaten it?

Oh dear aston! I agree; wait and make sure Isis is alright. If you think she is really ill and it is causing her more serious problems take her straight to the vet. Good luck with your car key!

I am completely confused. It has vanished into thin air. My other thought is that Rio has been collecting things again but I've looked in all his usual hoarding spots and it is nowhere.

Oh, what a worry! Just keep watching Isis. Do you know anyone with a metal detector?

It's only a small flat there aren't that many places it can go My worry is that my boyfriend dropped it outside and someone has found it. My car is still there luckily but I'm going to be worrying until I find it or get the locks changed now, or if she has eaten it it's going to do some serious damage.

Still want us to wait and see. I don't know what they want me to see... Isis squealing while she tries to pass a key I guess. I hope there's dog friendly taxis around here as I have no idea how to get there otherwise.

Well if that's the vets advice there's not really much more you can do about it, but wait...I'd be worried too. My last greyhound Maddy ate a lolly stick and my vet said the same. Thankfully it did pass after 2 days, but she was much bigger than Isis is, so I'd be worried too if I were you.
Are there other vets in your area you could phone?

No all the vets locally are the same company and all linked. I've just fed her her tea so she should try and go to the loo again soon hopefully and then I can see if she struggles. She is definitely not herself now though. Very quiet and wasn't very excited at the thought if going outside like she normally is. All I can do is wait and if she really seems to be struggling to go then insist the vet x ray her just to be on the safe side.

I saw on Facebook I hope she's ok and hasn't eaten it! If I was you I would be demanding an appointment. If she's definitely not herself then that would worry me too. You know her better than them Has Johnnot put it in his jeans pocket etc? Or have you checked?

I have gone through every pocket we both own. I have looked everywhere. Even the washing machine and fridge and all the cupboards. Jon said he defiantly put it on the table but I don't remember seeing it when I cleared the table for dinner. It's a mystery.
