Connor was a very good friend's dog. When I lived in Southampton with my parents, we walked on the Southampton common almost every day. When Monty was a pup, we met this very nice couple with their new (at the time) Irish Setter. Monty and Connor became very good friends and along with a black Lab called Banjo, they traversed the common together as a little pack. When Woody came along, he soon became friends with Connor too.
Connor was a mummy's boy. He was scared of a lot of dogs and would seek out his 'mum' if any came too close. He loved being with his family, and they adored him back. He was full of character and very very handsome.
About a week ago I got a phone call from my mum. Connor collapsed on a walk, was rushed to the vet and passed away there, suspected bloat. It's such a shame, he was just under 5 I think, he was a young dog when we first got Monty (and he's 4.)
So he's not my dog, but a gorgeous dog I knew very well, and I'm so so sad for him and his family.
