Pet raccoon? Hmmm.
The porcupine I can understand as it isn't quite a pet, though what an "exotic animal edication business" is!

I imagine a raccoon would make interesting pet, however they are very cleaver so would need to be entertained!! What did the customer want, food, toys or just visiting for raccoon socialization reasons Porcupine though!! No offense but those spines would be a drawback, could hardly have a cuddle!! lol

There's no need to keep a pet porcupine in the first place! Really makes me mad, why can't people just be glad to have what pets me have already.

Well then! I would be a bit shocked if I saw one of these loose. I agree with Sarah, porcupines are no pets! Pets are pets, like dogs, cats, hamsters, etc etc etc.

I'd say that wasn't so much a pet as a performing bear!

From another link on that article it looks like they've found the father but the son is still missing.
Just had a look at the centre's website - seems its a zoo as well as a rescue centre but this clip was interesting
It certainly was temporary!! Although not sure whether they were still in that or in the new home when they escaped.
