Block him. Get inbetween him and the fence, grab his collar, put him in a sit and say 'No'. Then call him away and give him something more interesting to do - a bit of training, playing fetch etc. A neighbour's family member visits often with their dog. This dog and my two get on perfectly when out walking together, but as soon as they get inside - the other dog will really aggressivley bite and growl and try get at them from the otherside of the fence. They say it's because where they live there are no other dogs nextdoor. I truly agree with all of this - a no may sound like nothing, but there's nothing like a firm hand!! The positive rewarding system - no reward after the better behaviour (like after the no) and the dog wonders why he must behave when there's notging in it for him. Behaving may be quite boring for dogs sometimes!!  |

Dogs are different to humans - to them, surely they'd prefer a treat when behaving than just behave then ignored. |
