Just like the title says! I opened a new bag of rabbit pellets and found bone shaped biscuits inside. I have complained to Pets at Home, where I bought the rabbit food, waiting on a response now. Rabbits shouldn't be eating dog food! Untitled by Niseag, on Flickr

Oh that's not good! Hope you get a prompt response & action. They may well have to withdraw the whole batch! After all there is a considerable difference between what a herbivore can digest compared to a carnivore!

Weird! Obviously P@H has had a mix up when packaging, or the company supplying pet food has.

I'm hoping it wasn't rabbit flavoured dog food On a more serious note, that's really not good! I would have thought they would have been manufactured on different lines - odd!

Still haven't received a response...I have been feeding 5 rabbits on their food for 4 years now...they are going to loose quite a bit of business if they don't respond!

Yes its their own brand. I have emailed and messaged them on Facebook. I'll phone next, but I really hope it doesn't come to that as I hate speaking on the phone, and I don't really like confrontation either.

Just had this reply after sending in the batch code... They will probably send you a nice letter and a gift card to spend in store. I found a small rubber ring (off a machine we think) in their wainwrights wet dog food a few years back and they sent me a gift card with £40s on it!!

I found a piece of plastic in Butchers tins once, they sent me a £10 voucher, and I found rubber in a pouch of Felix cat food. They didn't send anything thought as they said it was too small to be harmful if swallowed!!!

They should not simply leave it there just because it would cause no harm. They still put you through buying and revealing something inappropriate in cat food! They should at least do something to show they are apologetic! (If they are apologetic...) Edit: And at the end of the day, there was a flaw in their product! Aren't they bothered that that could possibly put someone off their product for the foreseeable future, because of this??
