A whole turkey Bextull, gobble gobble! I'm joking, don't worry. Got visions of Oscar and a big turkey chasing each other round and round your huge garden now lol! ; ) xxx turkey steak wouldnt make it too far round out garden......... I swear he nearly caugth a bird and a mouse on our walk tonight. the mouse was quick and i think me shouting leave it from the other side of the field threw him off. the bird was oddly sitting in a clump of grass and frightened the crap out of Oscar when he walked over it! Nice to see they are doing well Rubyroo11. Looking into possibly getting a rescue staff (or a pit called camelot!) from dogs trust later in the year myself.... I've decided to catch some rabbits. Will have to wait and see how it all goes...

Can't fault you on your choice of rescue dog breed ..you are so lucky you can still have pits...not like BSL Britain

Sucks doesn't it Rubyroo, shame we can't have HSL (Human Standard Legislation) to stop certain 'people' being allowed children and animals. By that I mean 'having children' and 'having animals' whether separate or together as in the right situations children and animals are great together lol. ; )some people just shouldn't have either of these gifts. Hope that makes sense? xxx

I know, but as part of the law here staffs, GSDs, Akitas, Pitbulls and lots other breeds must be muzzled and kept on a max of 6ft lead in public and can only be owned and handled by people 16+ But it is better than banned breeds, so I'm not too fussed about it. Although most people don't muzzle and the gards don't seem to care if I'm honest. I did meet one guy with this most amazing staff with a muzzle on and he said that the gards did tell him to.

AM - beef mince filled kong
Dinner was a pig trotter. Sadly the pig trotters i got have been salted as oscar has been out 4 times in the past 2hrs to pee and has drank 2 bowls of water. Happened the last time he had one too(last week) so the remainding 3 will be making their way to the bin. The pig tails (gotten from same place, same day) seem to be ok, so hopefully they aren't covered in salt.

Just from a butchers. I'll have to ask if they have any non salted ones next time.
He is most likely going to pee inside tonight so i have half the utility floor covered in newspaper. He is bloated tonight too, like last time so its a big no no for those pig trotters now.

Ahh. Yeah, they should make it known that they're salted, surely.
Oh dear. Poor Oscar. Hopefully you'll be able to get some from elsewhere in future.

There was nothing on the label that said they were salted. They didn't cost much though so its not ike I'm putting a heap of money in the bin, just 3 meals. My heart was in my mouth for a while tonight as I thought it was bloat when he came in. He is fine though, and still here so it wasn't, thankfully!

Well that's one good thing at least. I don't know whether people who buy trotters for themselves to eat/use would want them salted, but I would have thought it should be mentioned on the label somewhere like when you buy bacon and there's smoked and unsmoked. But either way, like you say, it's not like you've spent loads just to put them in the bin. Oh I bet! I'd have been worried too! Glad he's okay
