Just noticed Beau has sheared of half of one of his bottom fangs. Doesn't appear to be bothering him, do you think I need to do anything about it ?

Do you give him any dental attention regularly, like giving him a carrot to chew or brushing his teeth for him?

No one is going to stop you giving them. Some of us (most) on here are simply not a fan and are know a huge bit about the added ingredients

I read an injured tooth doesn't hurt a dog as it would us,(we would be in agony!) don't know how true it is,but it doesn't seem as though it is bothering Beau too much.Think drooling would be a sign it needs attention, but I would give your vet a call tomorrow just to be sure. If Dentastix work for Beau I wouldn't worry, and Plaque Off is good as I used it on Skip for a long time.

ouch! A vet once told me that dogs dont associate pain as we do, perhaps that is a good thing! Is Beau showing any discomfort (off food, wont let you investigate / touch). If he is, then I would say maybe you need to get it investigated, if not then I would not be too concerned! I would have a look and make sure its not too rough that it could cause any cuts etc, I doubt there is much that can be done other than a file down or extraction and unless its diseased he may as well keep it! As Migsy put, no harm calling vet and seeing what their opinion is over phone. One of my mums dogs wore her teeth down and you could see the internal darker area and it did not seem to bother her!
HTH!!

Thanks caz2golden and migsy for your responses. Beau is showing no signs at all of discomfort, he lets me investigate, he's eating as normal, and as for the drooling, well he does that all the time when food is around. I can just see a little pin dot in it ( black, or dark anyways ) and I literally just got off me bum and went and rubbed my thumb over the tooth and no sharp edges, and no resistance from my boy either. Will monitor it then I think, and thanks again x

Oh poor Beau! As previously said I wouldn't worry too much about it unless he shows any sign of discomfort. Or if his breath starts to smell really bad, as that could be a sign of it going bad. Give him a hug from me and Jasper.

scallywag the only thing that you have to watch out for with a broken tooth is the tooth getting an infection, as a broken tooth can develop bacteria. If not caught in time it can result with the broken tooth dying and possible the infection spreads to the other teeth and bone. Not saying it to worry you but that is the worse case of a broken tooth, maybe just giving you vet a call to see what they say??
